Our story

Made by a Medical Herbalist, rooted in the old ways

Bundles of dried herbs and foraged botanicals

“Hello, I am Sam, a Medical Herbalist with a First Class Honours degree in Herbal Medicine. But my journey with plants began long before university.

For more than twenty years I have been exploring plant folklore, traditional herbalism, Druidry, shamanic practices and our enduring relationship with the natural world. Gardens, hedgerows and wild places have always been where I feel most at home.

Garden, Hearth & Hedgerow grew from a desire to bring all of those threads together. Each monthly edition weaves carefully researched folklore, botanical knowledge, seasonal living and a little everyday magic into something you can hold in your hands. A gentle invitation to slow down, reconnect with the turning year and the seasons, and deepen your relationship with yourself and the green world.

A small, quiet nudge to look up and find a little wonder in the everyday.”
